Sri Lanka Cricket lashes out at media reports accusing Dilshan

Officials of Sri Lanka's cricket governing body lashed out at the latest media reports alleging prolific batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan of having links with bookies as an attempt to defame the Sri Lankan cricketers.

Issuing a statement Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said it refutes any allegations against Dilshan, contrary to the media reports.
"As of late media organizations have begun adversely commenting on corruption and match fixing against Sri Lankan Cricketers. Sri Lanka Cricket refutes any allegations against T M Dilshan, contrary to the media reports," it said.
The SLC said that none of Dilshan's team mates complained to Kumar Sangakkara, Captain of the National Team, about any specific incident.

"Furthermore, Kumar Sangakkara and the team Management reported any specific player or players to the ICC Anti-Corruption and security Unit (ACSU) or to the Sri Lanka Cricket Administration," Sri Lanka Cricket said.
