Three new ambassadors and a high commissioner taking assignments in Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President Mahinda Rajapaksa today (26th June) at a ceremony held in the President's office at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
The new diplomats assuming duties were Ambassador designate of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Rim Hoe Song, Ambassador designate of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ibrahim Asad Oglu Hajiyev, Ambassador designate of the People's Republic of China Wu Jianghao and High Commissioner designate of the Republic of Seychelles Waven Winslow William.

The new diplomats had a cordial discussion with the President following the presentation of credentials.
Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L Peiris, Secretary to the President, Lalith Weeratunga and Chief Protocol Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majintha Jayasingha were also present at the event.
