Sri Lanka would face any challenge - minister

Economic Development Minister of Sri Lanka Basil Rajapaksa says the country is unfazed and ready to face any challenge. Responding to the US backed resolution on Sri Lanka before the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva, Rajapaksa has said
the government faced similar challenges when it was working to provide relief to the people by getting the Mavilaru anicut released from the terrorists. He has added that like Iran, Sri Lanka would face the challenges it would have to face before the international community. Governing United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) parliamentarians yesterday protested against the resolution outside the parliament. The legislators wore black bands and carried placards against the resolution. However, Ministers Champika Ranawaka and Wimal Weerawansa who have been heading anti US campaigns have not been present at yesterday's protest.
