Tamil actor Murali (46) died today (September 8) morning due to a cardiac failure.
During mid 1980s and 1990’s he shone as a hero, right from his debut Poovilangu. Murali, of Kannada origin has done over 100 films.
Last month, his son Adharva debuted as hero with Banna Kathadi, where Murali made a cameo appearance and it was ironically his last film.
Murali made his debut with the critically acclaimed hit Poovilangu followed by another good film Pagal Nilavu.
But he emerged as a star with Vikraman's 1990 super hit Puthu Vasantham. He has done memorable films like Idhayam, Thanga Manusukkaran, En Asai Machan, Poomani. Ali Thanda Vanam. Desiya Geetham. Samuthiram etc.
Who can forget his brilliant performance in Cheran's Porkalam,Vetri Kodi Kattu and Sundara Travels? These were successful movies from the actor who always kept a low profile. Lingusamy's Anandam was another milestone hit in his career.
He won the Tamil Nadu best actor award in 2001 for his performance in Kadal Pookal
Murali was admitted to Ramachandra Hospital three days ago, following a massive heart attack and died today (Sep 8) morning at 7.30 am. He is survived by his wife Shobha and daughter Kaavya and son Adharva.
