DNA protest rally against Sri Lankan government on the 21st

Sri Lanka's Democratic National Alliance (DNA) is to hold a massive protest rally on Wednesday (21) against what is claimed as the dictatorial government that has challenged the independence of the judiciary.

The protesters are also to call for the release of former Army Commander and DNA parliamentarian General (Retd.) Sarath Fonseka.
The DNA rally is to be organized by its main coalition partner, the Marxist Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP). It will be held at Campbell Park on the 21st at 3 p.m.
Organizers of the rally said that people would be made aware of the government's disregard of the judiciary, as court orders permitting General Fonseka to attend parliamentary affairs have been violated.
Thousands of protestors are expected to participate in the event, the organizers said.
