The Sri Lankan government is to present the budget for the remaining months of 2010 to parliament Tuesday (29).
The budget will be presented to the House by Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne tomorrow afternoon.
The debate on the second reading of the budget will commence on Wednesday (30) and will be debated for four days till Saturday (July 3). The vote on the second reading be taken at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The debate on the committee stage of the budget will commence on July 5 and continue till July 9.
The final vote will be taken on the 9th at 6:00 p.m.
The government has presented the Appropriation Bill for the 2010 Budget with an estimated Rs. 974.748 billion as expenditure for its services for the financial year of 2010.
