Sri Lanka Tamil party says Muslim aspirations need to be addressed in the solution to ethnic issue

Sri Lanka major Tamil party, Tamil National Alliance (TNA) says that the aspirations of the Muslim community in the country needed to be addressed when presenting the solution to the ethnic issue.

TNA parliamentarian Mavai Senathirajah has told parliament today that the party had even raised the issue during its discussions with the government.

He has added that the late S.V. Chelvanayagam had also accepted the right of the Muslims to self-determination and had also included in the Vaddukkoddai convention.

According to Senathirajah, the internally displaced Muslims in the North have to be resettled along with the displaced Tamils.
