Bank of Ceylon planning to open three new branches in India

The Bank of Ceylon is planning to open up a branch in the region's financial hub of Mumbai in India, bank sources say.

Apart from Mumbai, the Bank of Ceylon is also planning to open up branches in Tuticorin and Rameswaram, reported the business website News 360.

Tuticorin is to be a commercial hub between Sri Lanka and India when the ferry service from Colombo to Tuticorin starts by the end of next month. Rameswaram is also an important place as a large number of Sri Lankans live there.

Bank of Ceylon already has a branch in Chennai.
