Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP) says that there are no rifts within the party.
UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake today has denied that there are any rifts within the party.
The UNP is currently conducting a programme, called Grama Charika to reach out to the grass roots level and to make the people aware of the party policies.
However, UNP Hambantota District MP Sajith Premadasa did not attend the first and second phases of the Grama Charika programme citing he was sidelined from the programme.
Premadasa instead launched two separate programmes, Grama Sanvardhana Charika and Sasunata Aruna, in the villages.
Attanayake has told the local media that Premadasa will participate in the third phase of the Grama Charika programme to be held in Kundasale in Kandy on November 20 and 21.
