Porn actress arrested on information received from Sri Lanka public

Sri Lanka Police Women's and Children's Bureau says that one woman acted in locally-made pornographic movies was arrested.

The woman was released under police surety after recording a statement.

Women's and Children's Bureau says that the arrest was made through the information received after publishing the pictures of these porn stars in media.

A spokesman of the Women's and Children's Bureau said information regarding three more actors had been received. They are also to be apprehended soon.

Police publicized the photos of 83 suspected porn actors and actresses through public media last week on an order by the Colombo Fort Magistrate.

The actors face up to six months' jail or a fine of 10,000 rupees, or both, if convicted.

Sri Lanka's Telecommunications Regulatory Commission has been ordered to block hundreds of porn websites that feature local actors.
