Sri Lanka government has decided to declare a holiday for the public offices in certain areas of Colombo on the day of Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa's second term swearing in ceremony is to be held.
Accordingly, all public offices in Colombo Fort, Slave Island, Kollupitiya, and Bambalapitiya areas will be closed on November 19, the government announced.
A holiday has been declared for the schools in these areas.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labor Relation and Productivity issuing a statement urged the private sector to declare a fully paid holiday as well for their employees on November 19 in these areas.
