Sri Lanka's Best Corporate Citizen Awards 2010 on November 03

Ceylon Chamber of Commerce hosts Best Corporate Citizen Awards 2010 at the Cinnamon Grand hotel in Colombo on November 03 for the seventh consecutive time.

The awards ceremony raises awareness in the importance of corporate social responsibility and strategic corporate sustainability to the business community and promotes and encourages these practices amongst the corporate sector.
Keynote Speaker for this year's Awards is Prof. Mohan Munasinghe, co-laureate of the 2007 Nobel Prize for Peace, as Vice Chair of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-AR4).
Currently, he is the Chairman of the Munasinghe Institute of Development (MIND), Colombo, and Professor of Sustainable Development at the University of Manchester, UK. He is also a Honorary Senior Advisor to the Sri Lanka Government.

Best Corporate Citizen Awards 2010 will give more attention to sustainability of business whilst encouraging corporations to be conscious of their social responsibilities, the organizers said.
