Sri Lanka Police inquiring into theft at National Museum

Sri Lanka police have commenced an investigation into the theft that had taken place last night at the National Museum in Colombo.
The police have said that the National Museum situated in Colombo 7 had been broken into by thieves last night. The thieves have allegedly stolen traditional swords and coins that were placed in the museum. Police has reported that seven swords, several rings, four handles and coins worth millions have been stolen by the thieves. Police Spokesperson SP Ajith Rohana says that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Cinnamon Gardens Police are conducting further investigations into the theft. The police however have said they have not made any proper breakthrough yet.
