Sri Lankan people have rejected false allegations made against the government - SLFP

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), the main constituent of the ruling alliance says the people have rejected the false allegations leveled against the government by some political parties in the country and international forces.


SLFP General Secretary and Minister Maithripala Sirisena issuing a statement soon after the conclusion of the local government polls says the Sri Lankan people have once again endorsed the social and economic policies outlined in the Mahinda Chinthana policy statement.

Sirisena has said that the people have acted wisely in sending a message of their sentiments to the opposition political parties in the country.

The ruling alliance won 45 of the 65 local government bodies for which the elections were held Saturday.
