Housing and Construction Minister Wimal Weerawansa, the leader of Sri Lanka's breakaway Marxist party National Freedom Front, is to lead a protest at the May Day rally against the report by the Experts Panel appointed by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
The NFF is to join the May Day rally of the governing United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) on Sunday.
Weerawansa has told the media that the NFF will campaign against the panel report as it would bring serious repercussions to the country.
The party has already commenced an island wide poster campaign against the report.
Weerawansa has also charged that some political parties in the country are following double standards with regard to the report.
Sri Lankan President has called the public to "show of strength" at the May Day rally against the UN report.
Minister Weerawansa last year staged an indefinite fast in front of the UN office in Colombo when the UN Secretary-General appointed the three-member panel to investigate accountability issues during Sri Lanka's war against the Tamil Tiger terrorists.
