Sri Lanka Election Commissioner to issue results of the local government election at the counting centers

The of Sri Lanka announced that the results of the local government election would be issued to the political parties and the independent candidates at the counting centers this time.

The preferential votes would also be announced in the same way, the Election Commissioner announced.

A copy of the result sheet will be displayed at the counting center.

Each counting center has a number of counting points in which around 12,000 votes are counted. The officials will make the final result and issue at the counting center.

The Election Commissioner informed about the system to the party secretaries at the meeting held with them on Friday.
