President recognizes industries promoting local products and services

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa today at the Temple Trees awarded the Soorya Singha and Swarna Hastha certificates to industries that promote local products and services.


The awards organized by the Maubima Lanka Padanama (Foundation) recognize the Sri Lankan entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering contribution towards a formidable and sustainable national economy in keeping with the standards and regulations defined by the Foundation.


At the occasion the Foundation presented a special award to President Rajapaksa for dawning an era of self-sufficient economy.
The Mawbima Lanka Padanama encourages consumption of locally manufactured items, provide protection, and encourage uplifting of local industry.
