TN should be rid of Karunanidhi's 'evil rule': Jayalalithaa

AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa on Monday said Tamil Nadu should be rid of the "evil rule of Karunanidhi," as the 94th birth anniversary of her mentor and former Chief Minister M G Ramachandran was observed across the state on Monday.

"Tamil Nadu should be rid of Karunanidhi's evil rule. We will not sleep until DMK is voted out of power," she said in her address to party cadres after garlanding MGR's statue at the AIADMK headquarters.

She said it was only a "matter of time" before the DMK was defeated in the Assembly elections, scheduled for May this year, and "nobody can change that."
