Sri Lanka strengthening ties with Libya

In a move seen as strengthening bilateral ties Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa's son and parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa met with the Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Al-Gaddafi in Tripoli Monday (17) and held discussions.


Parliamentarians Sajin De Vas Gunawardena and Duminda Silva accompanied MP Rajapaksa at the meeting.


MP Rajapaksa also met with the Secretary of the General Peoples Committee for Health and Environment Mohamed Mahmoud Hijazi at Al hadba in Tripoli yesterday.
