Sri Lanka President visits flood-affected areas of the country

Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa has visited the flood hit districts this morning to personally oversee the relief efforts for flood-affected people, President's Media said.

The President is to observe the distribution of relief items and assess the devastation caused by the recent torrential rains and floods in several districts in the northern part of the country.

President will visit all affected districts and meet the officials engaged in relief activities, President's Media reported.
