The administration of Sri Lanka's Rajarata University in the North Central Province has decided to close several faculties in the university due to the prevailing weather.
Registrar of the University, A. G. Karunaratne has said that three faculties in the University located in Mihintale have been closed till Monday (17).
The faculties that have been closed are the Social Science, Management, and Applied Science faculties.
The administration had decided to close these faculties after they found it difficult to provide sanitary facilities to the students' hostels due to the heavy rains and floods in the area.
