Tamil political parties of Sri Lanka to submit proposals for a political solution

A former Tamil National Alliance (TNA) parliamentarian has said that the proposals for a political solution to the ethnic issue will be handed over to the government within two months by the forum of Tamil political parties.

He has also called for the administrative affairs in the North and East within a united Sri Lanka should be given to the Tamil speaking public.

General Secretary of the Tamil National Freedom Alliance and former TNA MP M. K. Sivajilingam has told the media today that the Tamil people have faced many injustices in recent times and it is time to change it now.

According to Sivajilingam, steps should also be taken to protect the rights of minority nationalities in other areas of the country.

He has added that the proposals to provide a political solution to the ethnic issue, which is currently being prepared by a group of Tamil political parties, will be handed over to the government within two months.
