The inflation increased to 7.0 percent in November from 6.6 percent in the previous month while the Colombo Consumer Price Index increased by 1.1 percent to 225.8 points from 223.3 points in October 2010.
The annual average inflation increased to 5.8 percent in November from 5.4 percent in last month, as a result of the price increases in the preceding twelve month period.
