Sri Lankan government to present gifts to children born on President's Birthday

The Sri Lankan government is to present gifts to children born on President Mahinda Rajapaksa's birthday, November 18.
The Health Ministry has said that it would implement a new programme to present gifts and rewards to every child born on November 18th in the future.

The local media has reported that prizes will also be given to children born on November 18 this year.

The programme launched by the Health Ministry is titled as 'Mihimeth Suwaduru Thilina Pradanaya'.

Each child born on November 18 is scheduled to be gifted a set of prizes worth over Rs.7,500.
