Aamir puts wife Kiran at centerstage for Dhobi Ghat

Actor-Filmmaker Aamir Khan has decided to step back and let wife Kiran Rao to take centerstage for her debut directorial venture'Dhobhi Ghat'.Aamir had started a trend of showing the first theatrical to media and having an informal interaction at the beginning of each film.

Starting with'Taare Zameen Par','Jaane Tu.','Ghajini','3 Idiots'and'Peepli Live', he always personally shows the first look or theatrical to media.
But for the first time, in over 3 years, he will not be there for the launch of first look of'Dhobhi Ghat'.

Aamir's decision comes close on the heels of reports of Anusha Rizvi's discomfort in the manner with which Aamir took the entire control of marketing and promoting her directorial debut'Peepli Live'.

According to Anusha, exposure cannot come at misrepresentation.

After'Peepli Live','Dhobi Ghat'is Aamir's latest production.

According to sources close to Aamir, the entire marketing team of'Dhobi Ghat', including Kiran, were taken aback at his decision.

"Aamir wants Kiran Rao to take the centerstage and wants everyone to know this is a Kiran Rao film. So on November 17, when the first glimpse of the film will be shown, Aamir Khan would not be there,"sources added.

"Dhobi Ghat will be releasing on January 21. It stars Prateik and Aamir Khan and two new actors in female lead,"sources added.,
