Sri Lanka police says that a strict security plan has been designed for the President's second term swearing-in ceremony.
An 11,000-strong security team that includes members of armed forces is to be deployed to provide security. Additional forces have also been made ready for emergencies.
The authorities have also focused on the possible rain and floods, sources say. Measures have been planned to prevent floods.
Sri Lanka President is to swear in for the second term on November 19 at the Presidential Secretariat. Several foreign dignitaries are also expected to attend the ceremony.
