Official sources said Dr Ansari, who is also the Chancellor of the varsity, is expected to reach Madurai in a special Indian Air Force aircraft on October 28th morning, later he will proceed to Dindigul by a helicopter to participate in the convocation function.
Warm reception will be accoded to the Vice-President, when he arrives at Madurai airport, the sources added.
In view of his visit, security measures will be stepped up in Madurai and Dindigul districts under the direct supervision of S S Krishnamoorthy, Inspector General of Police (South Zone).
A high-level team from the National Security Guards (NSG) is also expected to visit Dindigul to supervise the security arrangements.
