Time allocated for clearance at Sri Lanka Customs extended

Sri Lanka Ministry of Finance and Planning announced that the time allocated at Customs for clearance of imported goods has been expanded.

Accordingly, clearance offices will be open until 8 p.m. during the week and until 4 p.m. during the weekend.
So far, the time allocated for clearance ended at 4 p.m. and no clearance could be made during the weekend.
The Ministry expects the imported goods including vehicles can be taken away fast with this move.
