Sri Lanka police launch e-mail system for public to lodge complaints

Sri Lanka Police Department today introduced an e-mail system for public to lodge compliments.

The complaints sent by e-mail will be received by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mahinda Balasuriya directly and would then be handed over to the relevant police unit.
The e-mail complaint center located at the police headquarters in Colombo is to commence operations on October 18 and will be manned 24 hours.

Complaints could be sent to telligp@police.lk.

The IGP has said that complainants will receive an acknowledgement immediately while their complaints will be addressed within two weeks.
