U.S. missile strike on Sunday killed four militants in northwest Pakistan’s Waziristan tribal region, officials said.
The attack early Sunday hit a village in the Datta Khel area near Miranshah, the capital of North Waziristan tribal district, Geo TV reported.
“A U.S. drone fired two missiles. The target was a house said to be used by militants…Four militants have died,” a senior security official in Peshawar said.
During the last two months, U.S. drone attacks in North Waziristan have intensified, while the local elders have demanded that the drone attacks be halted.
