SLFP disciplinary committee inquiring former deputy minister's conduct compiling final report

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) special disciplinary committee inquiring into the incident where former deputy minister Mervyn Silva had tied a public official to a tree is currently compiling its final report
.The committee has concluded recording statements from witnesses.
A committee spokesperson has told the local media that the final report will be handed over to President Mahinda Rajapaksa next week.
The three-member committee has recorded statements from Silva and the Samurdhi officer who was tied to a tree by Silva for failing to attend a dengue prevention program.
