Tamil condemns, Sri Lanka loves Asin

Actress who started her film career with Kollywood and was also sometime ago felicitated by the south industry expressing their pride in her, is these days is being lashed out for having dared to shoot for the film Ready in Sri Lanka.



Despite life is not as eventful it was during Ghajini days she made it a point to accompany her Ready co-star Salman Khan to the war torn areas to Namal Rajapaksa, MP and son of the Lankan president. She also got involved to set the eye camp in motion in Vavuniya along with Khan’s Being Human Foundation.
She was in Vavuniya to supervise the surgery conducted by a team of five surgeons from India, and the two stars also interacted with the patients. She wants to continue to host such eye camps regularly across the Northern and Eastern regions of Sri Lanka until all the 10,000 registered patients have been attended, as she wants all of them to regain their eye sight.
It was a bliss moment for the girl when one of the patients recovered and when his eye patch was removed he was surprised to see his favourite actress standing by his bed-side. She admits that that one moment made her entire journey to Sri Lanka worthwhile.
For whatever she did for them, they did not want her to go and have been asking her to stay back. So now Asin also has fan following in Sri Lanka!
