A Sri Lankan residing in Uganda was among the 74 killed in the twin bombings that occurred in Kampala, the Ugandan capital last Sunday.
Officials from Sri Lanka's External Affairs Ministry confirmed the fact to the local media today (13).
The bombing occurred in two sites during the FIFA World Cup finals and it claimed the lives of 74 people including several foreigners, mainly Ethiopian, Indian, and Congolese.
An al-Qaeda-linked Somali militant group has claimed responsibility for the twin blasts.
