Sri Lanka President's Secretary to meet all the secretaries of ministries for consultation on e-Governance

Lalith Weerathunge, Secretary to the Sri Lanka President is to meet the secretaries of all the government ministries to discuss the implementation of state sector IT policy, says the Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka.


The meeting will be held on July 10 in Colombo. Weerathunge expects to have direct consultation from the secretaries of the Ministries regarding the implementation of the state IT policy.
The meeting is one of the series of national seminars conducted by ICTA to make aware about the e-governance policy.
Sri Lanka Cabinet of Ministers approved the 'Policy and Procedures for IT Use' or the e-Governance policy in December 2009 as a major step marking the year of English and ICT.
