Sri Lanka Opposition Leader says the agitations before UN office are not fruitful

Sri Lanka Leader of Opposition Ranil Wickremasinghe said in the parliament today that the agitations in front of the Colombo office of the United Nations would not be fruitful.
He argued that Sri Lanka needs to be careful in its relations with the international organizations.

The Opposition Leader also said that the tri-member panel to advice UN General Secretary on Sri Lanka would not have an effect on the sovereignty of Sri Lanka.
He said that the expatriate Sri Lankans and those who expect visa to foreign countries would face difficulties due to this problem.
While arguing that the panel was not a court martial, the Opposition Leader vowed not to allow taking the war heroes to war crime tribunals.
