Sri Lanka's former Army Commander and Democratic National Alliance (DNA) parliamentarian retired General Sarath Fonseka said today (8) that the government has failed to address the expectations of the people in its 2010 budget.
General Fonseka told a press conference in the parliamentary complex today that the international community has lost faith in the Sri Lankan government, as it has not ensured freedom and justice to the people.
He said that the government was more focused on the constitutional amendments than the issues faced by the people. There was no freedom and justice for the people, General Fonseka said.
