The Sri Lankan government has directed the country's overseas missions to submit reports on Sri Lanka's situation to the respective countries.
External Affairs Ministry Secretary, Karunathilaka Amunugama said the reports by the Sri Lankan missions shall include the post war developments in the country including rehabilitation, resettlement and reconciliation.
Also last week, Sri Lanka's Permanent Representative to the UN, Dr. Palitha Kohona handed over a report countering allegations raised on Sri Lanka to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Meanwhile, Ban Ki-moon's spokesperson Martin Nesirky told the media last week that the UN Secretary General wants accountability in Sri Lanka through a genuine and comprehensive national process.
