SriLankan to start daily flights to Beijing and Shanghai


Sri Lanka's national carrier, SriLankan Airlines on Tuesday in Beijing announced that it will commence daily direct flights to Beijing and Shanghai from 15 July. Presently,
SriLankan flies three times a week to Beijing and four times a week to Shanghai with a stopover at Bangkok. The announcement was made to Chinese media in a press conference at Kempinski Hotel, Beijing, and separately to travel agents and tour operators, SriLankan sources said. With this move, the total number of flights operated by SriLankan to China and Hong Kong increases to 21. SriLankan flies four times a week to Guangzhou (Canton) and three times a week to Hong Kong.
