Government's actions have burdened people, Sri Lanka Marxist party says

Sri Lanka's Marxist party Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) says the actions of the government have only increased the burdens of the people. JVP parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake said that
Sri Lankans have been burdened with a huge cost of living problem that has not been recorded elsewhere. He observed that the government's failed economic policies and mismanagement have resulted in this situation. He noted that the government has failed in managing the local market and the country's economy. According to Dissanayake, the government instead of expanding the local market has ended up trimming it due to its inability to properly manage it. He said the country needs a proper economic policy and a government that could manage it well in order to ease the burdens on the people.
