Main opposition party Leader of Sri Lanka to get tough with traitors

Leader of Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP), Ranil Wickremasinghe says that members who betray and act against the party would not be forgiven. Speaking at a press conference at the party headquarters, Sirikotha, Wickremasinghe said
the greatest betrayal by some party members was to attack the party headquarters when it was standing against the government. A group of Buddhist monks today handed monies to the UNP leader for the renovations to Sirikotha that was damaged when some party members attacked the property soon after hearing the re-appointment of Wickremasinghe as the party leader at the elections held on December 19th to appoint office bearers to the party. The UNP Leader alleged that the persons who initiated the attack against Sirikotha have indirectly supported the government and President Mahinda Rajapaksa. According to Wickremasinghe, none of the members who betray the party in such a manner would be forgiven. He vowed to take severe disciplinary action against them.
