Sri Lanka's Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) has said that it has concluded its public sittings.
LLRC Spokesperson Lakshman Wickremasinghe has told the media that the LLRC public sittings have been concluded with its visit to Ampara last week.
During the course of its public sittings, the LLRC has held public sittings in the districts of Jaffna, Batticaloa, Mannar, Trincomalee, Vavuniya, Matara, Ampara, Moneragala, Galle, Matara, Puttalam, and Anuradhapura.
The LLRC concluded its public sittings in Colombo last month.
However, the LLRC Commissioners are to decide on making an exception and hearing a statement from an individual depending on their role in the ethnic issue.
The Commission is to hand over its report to President Mahinda Rajapaksa in May when the term of the LLRC comes to an end.
