Sri Lankan government has made all arrangements fro former Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) child soldiers to take the GCE Ordinary Level exam beginning on December 13th.
Commissioner General of Examinations Anura Edirisinghe has told the state-run radio that special test centers have been established for the former combatants who were being rehabilitated to sit for the exam.
According to the Commissioner, 55 candidates at the Boosa Rehabilitation Centre have applied for the upcoming GCE O/L test.
The Commissioner General has said that another two test centers have also been established in Jaffna and Vavuniya in addition to the center at the Boosa camp.
A majority of child soldiers did not receive any formal education during the decades-long war between the rebels and government forces.
