Sri Lanka parliament extends emergency by another month

Sri Lanka parliament extended the emergency regulations for another month by a majority of 114 votes.

The Emergency regulations were passed with 125 members voting in favor of the extension while 11 members opposed it.
The main opposition UNP along with the TNA voted against the extension of emergency while the JVP was absent at the time of voting.
