Sri Lanka's Judicial Services Commission (JSC) today sacked former Tissamaharama Magistrate and Additional District Judge for allegedly attacking and threatening persons at a karaoke bar in Colombo.
The former Tissamaharama Magistrate and District Judge Anura Seneviratne was interdicted on September 27. However, the JSC sacked him today and the dismissal comes into effect from the date he was interdicted.
JSC sources have told the media that the Magistrate who was interdicted on September 27 following his involvement in the incident was dismissed from the judicial service as he failed to tender resignation on time.
Seneviratne had allegedly attacked a security officer and threatened people by firing a gun in the air at a karaoke bar in Colombo 3.
