Sri Lanka's Tamil parties call on the government to institute civil administration in the North

Sri Lanka's Tamil Political Parties Forum (TPPF) has called on the government to start a civil administration in the North after ending the military administration.
Former Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MP and Tamil National Liberation Front (TNLF) General Secretary M.K. Sivajilingam has told the media that there was no need for the government to continue an administration managed by the armed forces in the North following the end of the war.
TPPF's monthly meeting was held a few days back in Kilinochchi under the Chairmanship of the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) leader V. Anandasangaree.

EPDP General Secretary and Minister Douglas Devananda, TNLF General Secretary M.K. Sivajilingam, EPRLF Naba wing representative and Former North East Chief Minister Vartharaja Perumal, Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TMVP) representative and Easter Provincial Council Member P. Presanthan, representatives of Sri TELO, and POLTE have also reportedly participated at this meeting.
