Sri Lanka's Criminal Investigations Division (CID) has begun investigations on an operation helping former LTTE cadres to leave overseas.
The CIS has already taken four suspects into custody, the state-run television ITN reported.
The interrogations of the suspects have revealed that they have aided the departure of LTTE cadres to overseas destinations using forged visas.
The CID has told the Colombo Magistrate Court that they further inquiries are continuing. The Court has ordered the CID to submit a report on the progress of the inquiries as soon as possible.
