The Sri Lankan government is reportedly considering to pay compensation to the parents of the seven year old child who was killed in an accidental police firing in Beruwala last week.
Local media quoting a government official said that a recommendation for the payment will be sent today (20).
The seven-year-old boy who was in a three-wheeler with his father at the time, was killed last Wednesday (15) when the police opened fire on several suspects, who were wanted in connection with illegal transportation of cattle, in a bid to capture them in the Beruwala town.
