IMF Review Mission in Sri Lanka to evaluate its facilities provided to the country

An International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation is currently in Sri Lanka to evaluate the IMF facilities provided to the country. The delegates of the IMF Review Mission are in the process of consulting local authorities.

The delegates and the IMF Resident Representative in Sri Lanka Dr. Koshy Mathai met Senior Presidential Advisor and Deputy Finance Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama to evaluate the IMF facilities to the country.
The IMF Mission Head Dr. Brian Aitken and other delegates and IMF Alternative Executive Director and Central Bank Assistant Governor Dr. P.N. Weerasinghe were also present at the meeting.
The IMF in June released US$ 407.8 million under the US$ 2.6 billion Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) approved in July 2009. With that disbursement the IMF has awarded about US$ 1.0194 billion to Sri Lanka under the Stand-By Arrangement.
