Sri Lanka major opposition UNP reform committee to meet LG members today

The reform committee assigned to restructure Sri Lanka's major opposition United National Party is to meet the Local Government members today before releasing the final report of the committee to the public.



The Chairman of the six-member committee, parliamentarian Joseph Michael Perera yesterday said that the UNP Reforms Committee would finalize its report on June 30.
The committee is to discuss its recommendations with the party leader Ranil Wickremasinghe and other senior members of the party before releasing it to the public, MP Perera said.
According to the party seniors the final proposals will be ready for ratification by August when the UNP convention is scheduled to be held,.
