Sri Lanka faces India in Asia Cup final today

Sri Lanka, buoyant from Tuesday's seven-wicket victory against India, is hoping to repeat the performance when they meet India again for the Asia Cup final match at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium this afternoon.



Sri Lanka and India qualified for the final after eliminating the neighbors Pakistan and Bangladesh. In the consolation match Pakistan beat Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka, who had won the Cup in the pervious two times of the biennial event in 2006 and 2008, is again the favorite to win. India hasn't won the cup in 15 years.
The Indian team is resting their hopes on the bowlers and the middle order batsmen.
The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. local time.
